My MIDI File
Collection
I've
started building an achieve of MIDI files, especially those of songs/medleys
from musicals, from files I've been finding scattered around the Web. Some
of the ones I've found are *really* terrible and others are magnificiant
-- I'll be posting those that fall into the latter category here (as space
permits.)
Here to
start you off are the MIDIs I'm using as background music on my homepage
(you're listening to a medley from Les Miserables)
Please note
that the files are *not* .ZIPped; if you click on them with the left mouse
button your browser will most probably try to play them. In order
to save the MIDI files to your computer
(in Internet Explorer 3.0)
click on the name of the MIDI file
(eg. LESMIS.MID)
with the right mouse button and select Save
Target As... from
the pop-up menu. A dialog box will
ask you to enter a name to save the file under. Enter any valid filename
(or just press ENTER to save it with the name you seee here) and
*presto* you're one MIDI file richer!
If you've
got any really good MIDI files of musicals, I'd love it if you could send
them to me -- if I like them I'll post them up here. You can send them
via e-mail (as an attachment) to aral@bigfoot.com
